Dr. Gillan is a geospatial data scientist and remote sensing professional with 18 years of experience in applied research, government, and contracting. He works with advanced aerial sensors, big data, and artificial intelligence to provide meaningful insights for natural resource and civil infrastructure management. He has been deeply immersed in drone-based land mapping since 2011 and has extensive experience collecting and analyzing LiDAR, photogrammetry, multispectral and hyperspectral data. He teaches and trains companies in the use of GeoAI tools, data processing pipelines, and web-based data sharing.
